7th & 8th Grade General Science:
Today students were introduced to the practice of making observations as an important practice in science. Students participated in an activity of how easily our observations can be incomplete. Check out this website to test your observations/awareness of details: http://www.break.com/index/awareness-test.html
There was a written assignment that was given to students to complete in class today. If they did not finish in class they will need to complete it as homework. In this assignment they are asked to make observations and describe two different objects that are familiar to them. However, they must list details and characteristics about the object as if they were from another planet and had never seen it before.
