Tuesday November 16th

8th Grade Math: Today in math students finished working on the third "Life Math" worksheet.  This assignment focuses on the costs and process for finding and renting a house/apartment.  We then began discussing the process that goes into buying a house.  We will continue this assignment tomorrow when students will research a house for sale in our community and calculate costs for down payment, monthly mortgage payment, taxes, and utility bills.

Review Homework #2 is due Wednesday (tomorrow)

7th Grade Math: In 7th grade math we learned how to write equivalent fractions.  Also, students learned how to use the prime factorization to write fractions in their simplest form. 
Homework:   

• Finish 4.3 Practice (evens #2-10)

7th/8th Grade Science: Today in science students continued learning about how minerals relate to modern day sports and worked on a group presentation to share their information with the class.
