7th & 8th Grade General Science: Today in science students continued working on their resource essay rough drafts. Students were required to have turned in the final copy of their rough draft for final edits and suggestions from the teachers today. Edits will be returned to the students at the beginning of class tomorrow. Thursday is the final day for students to work on the Energy Source Opinion Paper. The final draft is to be handed in at the beginning of class on Friday morning.Homework: None
7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class using and practicing skills on their Flashmasters. Students then took a quiz on area and perimeter of rectangles and triangles. Students had to measure three different shapes accurately, before calculating the area and perimeter of each. We went over each problems together as a class. Next, the subject of diameter and radius of circles were introduced. Students talked about the formulas to find each.

8th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class with a reflective discussion on how we can make math a more exciting and fun class. Then we moved into how to find the surface area of rectangular prisms. After some instruction, and the introduction of the formula to find the surface area, students were asked to do a few different practice problems.
