Today in math students reviewed section 5.7 material (clearing fractions and clearing decimals from equations). They then had the remainder of the class to work on section 5.7 practice.
Homework: Finish Section 5.7 Practice (#2, 4, 9, 10, 12, 16, 26)
Life Science:
In science students completed an activity that introduced them to diseases and epidemiology. They were asked to develop a theory for what was causing a disease outbreak/epidemic in London in 1854 based upon a series of data cards about the victims.

In math reviewed solving equations with fractions by multiplying by the LCD. We then introduced the second part of section 5.7 which taught students how to solve equations with decimals by clearing the decimals. The class will practice this section for several days and then we will have a test over the material from chapter 5 this coming Friday.
Homework: Review #6 which was handed out in class today is due at beginning of class on Wednesday.

In science students finished working on their body systems pop-up book. The final project was due at the end of school at the end of school.

Homework: Finish 5.3 Practice which we worked on in class for 25 minutes (#2, 4, 10, 14, 20, 25-28 all, & #30). Also begin working on Review #3 (Atomic Numbers/Weighty Matters) which is due Wednesday at the start of class.

In science students finished their note taking guide to a PowerPoint lecture presented by Mr. Watts. We then dissected Earth worms to practice procedures and techniques that we will employ tomorrow and Monday to dissect frogs.
