Core 3 Mathematics: Today in math the class finished working through practice problems for next week's State Benchmark testing. We discussed strategies and reviewed what they can expect on the tests. After 20 minutes of test review we joined Mr. Watts' class to learn about finding surface area of cylinders. Students then worked on a lab activity to find the surface area of a cylinder.
Homework: Finish 4.2 problem and the "Check Up" problems that are on the back of the sheet given in class today (due tomorrow).
Life Science: In science 8th grade students worked their way through stations that gave them an opportunity to review material that will be on the 8th grade benchmark test for science. 7th graders reviewed material in a separate room and played a trivia game based upon the material they were studying (energy transfers).
Homework: none
