8th Grade Math: Today in math students continued to work on the third stage of our "Life Math" unit. Today's assignment focused on students researching a home/condo for sale in the Juneau area and then going through the necessary calculations to determine their down payment, monthly mortgage, yearly taxes, and monthly utility bills. We will finish this assignment tomorrow and then begin learning about savings accounts.

7th Grade Math: In 7th grade math we learned how to write equivalent fractions. Also, students learned how to use the prime factorization to write fractions in their simplest form.

7th/8th Grade Science: Today in science students finished their minerals in sports presentations. We then began making a large version of a world map which will be used for students to illustrate where various minerals are produced for common items used in every day life.
