Monday 3/15/2010

7th & 8th Grade General Science: Today in science students began with their presentations. Students got up in front of their classmates and presented their assigned body system as a means of "teaching" their body system to their classmates.
Homework: None

7th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class using their flashmasters. Next, students took a quiz on the first four sections of chapter 5. We then began introducing section 5.5 on customary units of measurement. We will go more in depth on section 5.5 tomorrow.
Homework: Students have the opportunity to make up any missed assignments between today and Wednesday, instead of being assigned another review homework.

8th Grade Math: Today in math, students began class with using their flashmasters. Students were then introduced to section 5.6 in their text books. This section focuses on using the multiplicative inverse of fractions to solve equations. After some instruction and guided practice, students were given the worksheet 5.6 to practice their skills. They are to do the odds for tomorrow if they did not finish in class.
Homework: Students have the opportunity to make up any missed assignments between today and Wednesday, instead of being assigned another review homework.
